My name is Sana Jamlaney and I'm a 34-year-old painter raised and based in Dubai. My works are usually on large canvas although I enjoy painting on plexiglas and wood as well. The materials I enjoy working with the most are acrylic, charcoal, graphite, ink, Sharpies and tempera. I haven't received much formal training aside from the year I spent studying at the Studio Art Centers International in Florence, Italy where I was pursuing a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Drawing. My artwork caters mainly to the hospitality industry and private collectors. 'The Silent One II', one of four paintings I created representing society in contemporary India, was featured as the cover art for 'Gendered Dimensions of Development', published by the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development marking 50 years of research.
