Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Inaugurates Ladies Day at Dubai Photo Exhibition

Her Highness Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), has inaugurated the first edition of the Ladies Day event as part of Dubai Photo Exhibition at Dubai Design District (d3) from March 16th-19th.

Her Highness toured the exhibition's various pavilions and was briefed on the visual, historical and contemporary exhibits, especially the pavilion of the UAE as well as the work of prominent international photographers. Dubai Photo Exhibition is held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, and organised by The Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid International Photography Awards, one of the key events under the umbrella of Dubai Art Season 2016, with the support of The World Photography Organisation.

Her Highness said: "We highly appreciate the active role of The Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid International Photography Awards in bringing together more than 800 of the world's best international creative photographers at one venue and presenting the best of the world's photography to audiences in Dubai. This exhibition is the embodiment of Dubai's ethos to bring the world together, bridging cultures and borders, and we at Dubai Culture are keen to support the city's photographic arts sector in line with our vision to position Dubai as a world-class centre for cultural events."

Dubai Art Season is being held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, between the months of March and April. The umbrella initiative includes all artistic and cultural events across Dubai. SIKKA Art Fair, is one of the key initiatives of Dubai Art Season, an artist-led fair of commissioned works by Emirati, UAE and GCC-based artists.
